For Master's and doctoral researchers
The weak points in your research, found before someone else finds them
Upload a proposal, a chapter, your reference list or a full draft. Thesisroom reads it and shows you the arguments that do not hold, the citations that do not resolve, and the questions an examiner would press on. It never writes a word for you.
No prompting, no setup, no writing. Upload and read.
Sign up in 30 seconds, upload your chapter, and see your first results before your coffee gets cold
Up to 3 examiner questions and 15 citations checked from your upload, free with no credit card
Your thesis is never used to train any AI and your identity is stripped before processing
This is what Thesisroom finds in your work
Thesisroom reads an uploaded thesis and returns three kinds of finding: examiner questions drawn from specific passages, citation verdicts drawn from eight academic registries, and chapter comments each marked must address, revise or consider. Every finding quotes the exact sentence it came from, and none of the work is written for you.
On page 82, you discuss the unsupported moderation hypothesis H4, where the interaction term was near zero. Yet, your NCA analysis on page 73 finds IS/IT is a necessary condition for high resilience. How do you reconcile these two seemingly contradictory findings?

Verified against the academic record
The studies reviewed above show that Green Finance is associated with improved environmental performance and operational efficiency. But association and mechanism are different things.
Acknowledgement of a gap without full resolution
The text correctly identifies a critical gap between association and mechanism but does not fully address how the proposed model will establish causation versus correlation

These are real findings from a real thesis uploaded to Thesisroom
Most candidates prepare by re-reading their thesis and hoping they guess the right questions. This is what it looks like when you stop guessing.
What researchers are saying
I used to prepare for my thesis defense by rereading my entire thesis and hoping I had covered everything. Thesisroom changed that. I could see questions generated from my actual research and the specific arguments I had made. It helped me focus my preparation on where my thesis could actually be challenged, rather than guessing what my examiner might ask.
S.M, PhD candidate
The biggest surprise was finding out that having a long reference list does not necessarily mean your evidence is strong. Thesisroom helped me check my citations and identify places where the source I had cited did not fully support the claim I was making. I found several things I wanted to fix before submitting my chapter.
D.O, Master's research student
After reading the same chapters for months, I stopped noticing problems in my own argument. Thesisroom gave me a different perspective. It helped me identify weak points, gaps in the research I had considered, and areas where my argument needed more support. I used the findings to decide what to revisit before sending the work to my supervisor.

Your second reader for better research
Thesisroom works across ten rooms that each read a different part of a thesis, from the scope of a proposal to the questions an examiner would ask. Every room ties its findings to a source the student can verify, in their own writing or in the academic record.

Upload once, get answers in minutes
Thesisroom reads a thesis, a chapter, or a reference list the moment it is uploaded, and the rooms open on it. The student starts each one, and results come back in minutes: examiner questions, citation verdicts, and chapter comments, each drawn from their own pages.
- 01
Upload
A proposal, a chapter, a reference list, or a full draft. PDF or DOCX, up to 250 pages.
- 02
Verify
Each citation is searched against the academic registries, and the one that answered is named on the verdict.
- 03
Question
Examiner questions are written from your draft, and scope questions from your proposal.
- 04
Audit
Each chapter is read against the standards of your field.
- 05
Recompute
The checks recompute the statistics you reported and reconcile your citations with your bibliography.
- 06
Keep
Findings land in your workspace, and your bibliography stays checked as you keep writing.
Every source you verify stays in your bibliography and gets re-checked as you keep writing, whether your degree takes one year or four
Three things this platform refuses, by design
It will not write for you
Thesisroom reads what you wrote and shows you where it does not hold. It does not generate a paragraph, rewrite a sentence, or produce text you can paste into your thesis. The writing is yours and it stays yours.
It will not fabricate a source
Every reference Thesisroom returns is a real record in the academic registries, with an identifier you can look up yourself. If a source cannot be found, Thesisroom says so rather than inventing one.
It will not help you evade detection
Thesisroom does not check your work against detection tools, does not reword text to bypass plagiarism tools, and does not help you present work as something it is not. Your supervisor can read the report.
These are not policies. They are architectural. Thesisroom cannot do these things even if someone asked.
Thesisroom exists to help researchers be more rigorous, not to help them cut corners. Every question and every flag is anchored to a source you can inspect. It does not write, does not fabricate citations, and does not help evade detection.
Common questions about Thesisroom
Does Thesisroom tell me what to read?
Thesisroom's Reading Queue lists what the academic record returned for the claims your thesis already makes, ordered by how little of each claim's field your bibliography holds. It does not assess those papers, rank them by quality, or decide which are worth your time.
Does Thesisroom check my statistics?
Thesisroom recalculates every significance test you reported in a sentence, and shows you where the reported p-value cannot be right. It reads results written in your text, not results in tables.
Does Thesisroom find citations missing from my reference list?
Thesisroom matches your in-text citations against your bibliography when it can find your reference list and read your citation style, and names the citations with no entry and the entries nothing cites.
Can Thesisroom track my examiner corrections?
Thesisroom keeps each request from your supervisor or examiner with the draft it was raised against, and records when you say you addressed it. It does not check whether a request was acted on.
Can Thesisroom check my research proposal?
Thesisroom reads your proposal and asks about the places where what you ask for and what you plan sit apart, quoting both passages from your own text. It does not say whether a project can be done.
What is Thesisroom?
Thesisroom is a research quality platform for Master's students, PhD researchers, and postdocs. It reads your thesis and checks your arguments, your citations, and your chapter structure across ten rooms. It never writes for you.
How does Thesisroom work?
Thesisroom reads your thesis, a chapter, or a reference list, and six rooms open on it, from examiner questions and citation checks to structural audits and argument mapping. You start each one, and results come back in minutes.
Is this allowed?
Thesisroom questions your work and checks your sources. It never writes, never invents a citation, and never helps evade detection. You can share the report with your supervisor.
Is my thesis safe?
Your name and identity are stripped from your thesis before processing. Your work is never used for training, and you can delete everything at any time.
Do I need a finished thesis?
One chapter or a reference list is enough to start. A finished thesis is not required.
How much does Thesisroom cost?
Thesisroom is free to start, with no card needed: explore a topic, check a reference list, or upload a chapter, a reference list or a full thesis. The Monthly plan costs $12 per month for the full degree, or $108 a year on the Annual plan, which is $9 a month. The 3-Month Plan costs $35 every three months. For research groups, the Lab Cohort is $149 for five seats.
